AIA brings professional notary service to appropriate senior living and care settings while respecting resident dignity, family coordination, facility procedures, and the requirements of the notarial process.

The Resident Comes First.

Even when a family member, attorney, or facility coordinates the appointment, the resident remains the individual whose signature is being notarized.

Senior Living FAQ

Can I schedule an appointment for my parent?

Yes. Family members may coordinate logistics, but the signer must personally satisfy the requirements of the notarial act.

What if my parent no longer drives or has an expired license?

Discuss identification availability with AIA before scheduling so the applicable requirements can be reviewed.

What if the resident has dementia or another cognitive impairment?

A diagnosis alone does not determine whether a particular notarial act can occur. AIA must evaluate whether the signer can appropriately participate, is willing, can be identified as required, and satisfies the applicable conditions at the time of the appointment.

Can AIA visit on a recurring facility schedule?

Yes. Communities may use AIA as a referral resource, for coordinated appointments, or for scheduled notary days based on need and availability.
